The Provincial Council also announced a new headquarters for EILZA (\u20ac1.3 million). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Zamora.<\/strong> The FROMAGO Cheese Experience 2026 International Fair held its official launch this <strong>Wednesday<\/strong> at the <strong>Palacio de la Encarnaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, the headquarters of the Zamora Provincial Council, at an event that brought together <strong>nearly a hundred people<\/strong> \u2014officials, sponsors, industry representatives, and members of the media\u2014 <strong>70 days<\/strong> before the fair\u2019s opening. The event was hosted by the president of the Zamora Provincial Council, <strong>Javier Fa\u00fandez<\/strong>, and the president of EILZA (International School of Dairy Industries), <strong>Sara Fregeneda<\/strong>, the event\u2019s organizing body. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Javier Fa\u00fandez: Territory, Business, and Return<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The president of the Provincial Council opened the event by highlighting the origins of Fromago: a fair created by farmers and ranchers who keep farms operating and generate jobs in the province, and by a \u201cworld-class\u201d cheese industry \u2014Spain\u2019s leading cheese producers are located in Zamora\u2014which ensures that the added value of the raw materials, which previously went to other parts of the country, \u201cstays in Zamora.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fa\u00fandez also highlighted the street-level aspect of the fair, which in its last edition drew <strong>more than 300,000 people<\/strong> who \u201cflooded\u201d Zamora\u2014a city that, he said, \u201cdresses up in its finest\u201d to welcome visitors from the province, the region, all over Spain, and abroad. Record\u00f3 que EILZA no es solo Fromago, sino la <strong>Escuela Internacional de Industrias L\u00e1cteas<\/strong>, &#8220;la cantera donde se forman los futuros queseros y ganaderos&#8221; a nivel provincial, auton\u00f3mico, nacional e internacional.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En ese contexto, el presidente anunci\u00f3 que las actuales instalaciones de la escuela, cedidas por la Junta de Castilla y Le\u00f3n en el Alfonso IX, se han quedado peque\u00f1as y precarias para el crecimiento del proyecto. Por ello, la Diputaci\u00f3n habilitar\u00e1 <strong>una nueva sede en el Colegio del Tr\u00e1nsito<\/strong>, con <strong>1.000 metros cuadrados<\/strong> completamente reformados y una inversi\u00f3n de <strong>1,3 millones de euros<\/strong>. El proyecto estar\u00e1 definido a finales de julio, con el objetivo de que EILZA pueda trasladarse a finales de <strong>2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"fromago-resumen\" style=\"background:#FCEACB; border-left:5px solid #BA7517; border-radius:10px; padding:22px 26px; margin:1.5em 0; font-size:1.1em; font-weight:600; color:#6B4408; box-shadow:0 2px 8px rgba(186,117,23,0.15);\">\n<p style=\"margin:0;\">&#x1f3db;&#xfe0f; Un empuj\u00f3n definitivo para convertir Zamora en el centro de referencia nacional en formaci\u00f3n del sector quesero y ganadero.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote fromago-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;When all the government agencies and sectors involved work together, this Zamora is unstoppable and unbeatable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sara Fregeneda: &#8220;Fromago isn&#8217;t just a fair&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The president of EILZA took the floor, visibly moved\u2014first by the video that opened the presentation and then by the announcement of the new headquarters\u2014for which she wished to express her public gratitude: \u201cThese new facilities are more than just financial support; they represent support for the future of the project, the future of the sector, the future of the school and of Zamora, and of the entire team behind it: livestock farmers, cheesemakers, and the many people in Zamora, in Castile and Le\u00f3n, and throughout Spain who are dedicated to this work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fregeneda also thanked the institutions in attendance\u2014the Regional Government of Castile and Le\u00f3n, the City Council of Zamora, and the Government Delegation\u2014as well as the fair\u2019s sponsors and partners: <strong>INLAC, Caja Rural de Zamora, Iberdrola, and Cobad\u00fa<\/strong> as sponsors, and <strong>Obando, Toyota, Telpark<\/strong>, and the <strong>Zamora Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> as partners, in addition to all the school\u2019s patrons, exhibitors, the Bishopric, suppliers, and professional organizations.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;Why Fromago Exists&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before getting into the numbers, the president of EILZA wanted to share some thoughts on the purpose of the project. Since the Provincial Council entrusted the school with organizing the fair, she said, Fromago ceased to be just a fair: <em> \u201cWe realized that our ambition had to be much greater, that we had to help build the future of the sector without ever losing sight of its origins and roots.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fregeneda subray\u00f3 la diversidad de un sector que re\u00fane, en sus palabras, a &#8220;ganaderos, queser\u00edas, industriales, peque\u00f1os productores artesanos, empresas de servicios, distribuidores, cocineros, afinadores, investigadores, formadores, compradores y millones de consumidores&#8221;. Fue esa reflexi\u00f3n, explic\u00f3, la que llev\u00f3 a EILZA a plantearse tras la edici\u00f3n de 2024 no solo c\u00f3mo hacer crecer la feria, sino <strong>c\u00f3mo hacerla m\u00e1s \u00fatil para el sector<\/strong>. The first\u2014 <strong>consolidating and professionalizing the fair<\/strong>\u2014is based on three points: the presentation of the Cincho Awards by the Regional Government of Castile and Le\u00f3n, which will once again be held at Fromago (Friday, September 18); confirmation that <strong>more than 90% of the<\/strong> fair\u2019s <strong>suppliers and partners<\/strong> are from Zamora; and nonstop activity on the stages from <strong>11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.<\/strong>, with a waiting list of exhibitors eager to showcase their products. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second challenge\u2014 <strong>internationalization<\/strong>\u2014is reflected in more than <strong>40 booths run by international cheesemakers<\/strong> \u2014who could no longer fit in the main tent at the Cathedral\u2014 the inclusion of international influencers as speakers and judges, a communications plan targeting international industry publications, and, above all, the expansion of trade missions, with <strong>45 confirmed importers from 23 countries<\/strong> thanks to the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and the ICE of the Regional Government of Castile and Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El tercer gran reto fue la <strong>oferta gastron\u00f3mica<\/strong>: dar de comer y cenar a m\u00e1s de 300.000 personas exige una infraestructura considerable, por lo que este a\u00f1o se refuerza con <strong>siete tabernas<\/strong>, <strong>once food trucks<\/strong> y la <strong>Plaza del Lechacito<\/strong> (Plaza de San Mart\u00edn), con jam\u00f3n, pulpeiro, croquetas, opciones sin gluten, postres y mojitos.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/fromago.info\/aef\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/image-3-1280x853.png\" alt=\"P&#xFA;blico asistente a la presentaci&#xF3;n oficial de Fromago 2026\" class=\"wp-image-10204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fromago.info\/aef\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-3-1280x853.png 1280w, https:\/\/fromago.info\/aef\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-3-640x426.png 640w, https:\/\/fromago.info\/aef\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-3-320x213.png 320w, https:\/\/fromago.info\/aef\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-3.png 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una edici\u00f3n que supera todos los objetivos<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fregeneda cerr\u00f3 su intervenci\u00f3n con las cifras que definen esta III edici\u00f3n. El objetivo al terminar 2024 era superar los 300 expositores y los 400 stands; hoy, con el <strong>plano cerrado al 100%<\/strong> y todos los expositores confirmados, ese objetivo est\u00e1 &#8220;m\u00e1s que superado&#8221;:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"fromago-stats\">\n<div class=\"fromago-stat\"><span class=\"num\">309<\/span><span class=\"lbl\">expositores confirmados (82% queser\u00edas)<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"fromago-stat\"><span class=\"num\">443<\/span><span class=\"lbl\">stands de venta<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"fromago-stat\"><span class=\"num\">+500<\/span><span class=\"lbl\">carpas en total por la ciudad<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"fromago-stat\"><span class=\"num\">+1.100<\/span><span class=\"lbl\">ni\u00f1os en las jornadas escolares<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La feria ha crecido un <strong>30%<\/strong> desde la \u00faltima edici\u00f3n, ocupar\u00e1 <strong>40.000 metros cuadrados<\/strong> y se extender\u00e1 a lo largo de <strong>3 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong> de recorrido, desde la Plaza de la Marina hasta la Catedral.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"fromago-resumen\" style=\"background:#FCEACB; border-left:5px solid #BA7517; border-radius:10px; padding:22px 26px; margin:1.5em 0; font-size:1.1em; font-weight:600; color:#6B4408; box-shadow:0 2px 8px rgba(186,117,23,0.15);\">\n<p style=\"margin:0;\">&#x1f4d0; &#8220;Cuando nos hemos puesto a cerrar el plano y a colocar, nos hemos asustado&#8221;: Fromago llega con lista de espera y trabajando ya cerca de su l\u00edmite de crecimiento.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;El reto de hacer de Fromago una feria grande est\u00e1 m\u00e1s que conseguido&#8221;, zanj\u00f3 Fregeneda, reivindicando su consolidaci\u00f3n <strong>como la mayor feria del queso de Europa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Las novedades de 2026<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sara Fregeneda repas\u00f3 las grandes novedades de esta edici\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"fromago-destacados\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cuarta galer\u00eda del queso<\/strong> (el nombre que sustituye a &#8220;t\u00faneles&#8221;): dedicada a los quesos con Premio Cincho, ubicada en la Plaza de la Marina, junto a las de quesos nacionales (Plaza de Viriato), internacionales (Catedral) y europeos con DOP e IGP, esta \u00faltima en su nueva ubicaci\u00f3n de Arias Gonzalo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plaza de la Lana<\/strong> (Fray Diego de Deza): un espacio para revalorizar un producto hoy desaprovechado \u2014&#8221;a los ganaderos les cuesta dinero deshacerse de \u00e9l&#8221;\u2014, con actividades y talleres para que los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os conozcan el proceso, desde la oveja hasta la prenda.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Macrozona gastron\u00f3mica en los Jardines del Castillo<\/strong>: adem\u00e1s de las food trucks ya presentes en la edici\u00f3n anterior, este a\u00f1o se suman pulpeiro, productos gallegos y brasa. &#8220;Va a ser como un remanso de paz dentro de la vor\u00e1gine que va a ser Fromago&#8221;, describi\u00f3 Fregeneda.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nuevo Concurso a la Mejor Tarta de Queso<\/strong>: la demanda ha obligado a ampliar las plazas de 10 a 15 finalistas, pese a que se presentaron cerca de 20 candidaturas. Se suma a las nuevas ediciones del Concurso al Mejor Fromelier y al Mejor Tabla de Quesos, ambos patrocinados por INLAC.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jornadas escolares<\/strong>: las ma\u00f1anas del jueves y viernes, en colaboraci\u00f3n con los centros educativos de Zamora, m\u00e1s de <strong>1.100 ni\u00f1os<\/strong> ya confirmados visitar\u00e1n la feria con actividades adaptadas: talleres de lana, alimentaci\u00f3n de animales, elaboraci\u00f3n de queso y degustaciones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Camino de Fromago: meses de promoci\u00f3n por toda Espa\u00f1a<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tanto Fa\u00fandez como Fregeneda enmarcaron la presentaci\u00f3n dentro del <strong>&#8220;Camino de Fromago&#8221;<\/strong>, la gira de promoci\u00f3n que ha llevado la feria fuera de la provincia durante los \u00faltimos meses. El recorrido ha incluido paradas en M\u00e1laga (Feria Sabores de M\u00e1laga, diciembre), Oviedo, Silleda (Semana Verde de Galicia), Valladolid y Salamanca, y continuar\u00e1 en <strong>Braganza el 17 de julio<\/strong>, <strong>Oporto el 4 de agosto<\/strong> y culminar\u00e1 con la presentaci\u00f3n en Madrid el <strong>2 de septiembre<\/strong>, organizada por V\u00edctor L\u00f3pez de la Parte.
