FROMAGO 2026 Sets Its Sights on International Markets with Diplomatic Presentation in Madrid
The Casa de Zamora in the capital hosted a strategic meeting with commercial counselors and attachés from various countries to consolidate the presence of foreign producers and professionals in the fair’s upcoming edition.
The organization of FROMAGO Cheese Experience continues to take decisive steps toward the absolute internationalization of its next event. With the goal of attracting new markets and establishing the festival as the premier cheese benchmark in Southern Europe, the project was officially presented in Madrid to commercial counselors and attachés from several embassies accredited in Spain.
A Record-Breaking Vision
The strategic meeting served as a showcase to detail the record-breaking projections for FROMAGO 2026. During the session, international representatives were shown the economic, commercial, and tourism potential of a fair that, from September 17 to 20, will transform the urban layout of Zamora into a massive venue. The event is expected to cover more than 40,000 square meters and host over 400 stands.
The event featured the participation of Emilio Fernández, Vice President of the Provincial Council of Zamora (Diputación de Zamora), who provided institutional backing for this key industry move. The presentation highlighted the importance of weaving solid commercial alliances to facilitate the arrival of:
- New international dairies and cheesemakers.
- Industry influencers and tastemakers.
- Importers and professionals from global distribution channels.
A Direct Bridge to New Markets
This diplomatic and commercial action in Madrid is part of the organization’s roadmap to surpass the historic figures of 2024—an edition that saw more than 300,000 visitors and showcased over 1,200 types of cheese.
By bringing the project directly to embassy commercial attachés, FROMAGO does more than just simplify technical information for foreign producers; it positions both the fair and the province of Zamora as an essential meeting point for the global agri-food business.
