THE DEPUTATION PROMOTES FROMAGO AND FOOD FROM ZAMORA IN BARACALDO
With the aim that the Houses of Zamora abroad become ambassadors of the province and, in particular, the fair ↘️Fromago promoted by the Provincial Council and whose celebration is scheduled ↘️en Zamora ↘️del 15 to 18 September, the president of the Provincial Council, Francisco José Requejo Rodríguez, accompanied by the deputies of Agriculture and Livestock, Angel Sanchez Hidalgo, and Economic Development, Emilio Fernandez Martinez, today presented this international event dedicated to cheese in the House of Zamora in Baracaldo.
In the presence of the mayoress of Baracaldo, Amaia del Campo, as well as other Basque authorities and representatives not only of the Casa de Zamora in this town, but of other houses in Castilla y León and Spain, Francisco Requejo, made an invitation for the city council of this town, which has about one hundred thousand inhabitants, to participate in Fromago and take advantage of the event for its promotion.
Francisco Requejo explained that the objective is to make Zamora a benchmark in the world of cheese with a fair that will feature a wide program of gastronomic activities through tastings for the public, showcooking, cheese and wine pairing activities, culinary workshops, cheese tapas contest, etc.
The goal is to reach 300 exhibitors with an exhibition route of about 2 kilometers along the center and the historic center of the city.
ZAMORA FOOD TASTING
After the presentation of Fromago, a tasting of products included in the Alimentos de Zamora brand was held in a tent near the facilities of the Casa de Zamora in Baracaldo.
