FROMAGO Cheese Experience 2026 and the Zamora Chamber of Commerce are joining forces to bring more than 40 international importers to the trade show
The Chamber will organize a reverse trade mission with importers from Japan, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Morocco, who will visit Zamora from September 16 to 18
EILZA confirms that Fromago 2026 is practically sold out, with more than 400 booths and over 300 exhibiting companies: the only space left is in the international section near the Cathedral
The agreement reinforces Fromago’s commitment to expanding its international presence and professionalizing the Zamora cheese industry
In September, FROMAGO Cheese Experience 2026 will take one of its most significant steps forward in terms of internationalization. This morning, the Zamora Chamber of Commerce and the Foundation of the International School of Dairy Industries (FEILZA) signed a collaboration agreement with a twofold objective: to maximize the professionalization of the fair and to attract specialized international buyers to the province’s cheese industry.

A reverse trade mission with 40 importers from four countries
The agreement will take the form of a major reverse trade mission. More than 40 specialized importers from Japan, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Morocco will travel to Zamora from September 16 to 18, coinciding with the Fromago event.
As Enrique Oliveira, president of the Zamora Chamber of Commerce, explained, the buyers will arrive before the fair begins to visit cheese dairies in the province and learn firsthand about local production, before focusing on the trade fair itself on the 17th and 18th, during which bilateral meetings will be held between Zamora-based companies and importers.
The itinerary also includes official lunches and dinners at which other culinary specialties from the province will be showcased, thereby amplifying the impact of the visit beyond just the cheese.
This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and León and is funded by the Zamora Provincial Council.
Fromago 2026, at 98% occupancy
For her part, Sara Fregeneda, president of FEILZA, took the opportunity presented by the signing of the agreement to confirm what had already been suspected for weeks: Fromago 2026 is practically fully booked. The trade show will feature more than 400 booths and the participation of more than 300 exhibiting companies.
“There’s practically no space left. ‘98% of the fair is fully booked,’ Fregeneda said. The only area still open to new participants is the international section located near the Cathedral, a space deliberately reserved to strengthen the presence of foreign producers and ensure consistency in the project’s international efforts.”
The tour continues: next stop, London
Fromago’s international strategy doesn’t stop with the agreements signed in Zamora. From May 30 to June 2, the organizing team will travel to London to visit one of the confirmed exhibitors for the 2026 edition and hold meetings to strengthen the British presence at the fair. This is yet another stop on an international tour that has already taken the team to Oviedo and will continue in the coming weeks.
