The exhibition promotes the Fromago International Cheese Fair to be held in Zamora in September.
The promotion of the International Fromago Cheese Fair, promoted by the Provincial Council of Zamora, which will take place in that city in September, is the main objective of the unique exhibition “Ovejas Fromago”, which is traveling to different parts of the Spanish and Portuguese geography and can be seen throughout the weekend in the Plaza de San Marcelo.
As the president of the Provincial Council of Zamora said at the opening ceremony of this exhibition, the Fromago Fair will be “a great international showcase for the cheese sector of the province of Zamora and also the rest of the provinces of the Community”.
Francisco Requejo, recalled that there are already more than 180 cheese companies and designations of origin registered for the fair and is working with the forecast of a total of 230 exhibitors that will occupy about 350 spaces.
The originality of the promotion of this fair through an exhibition of artistically decorated sheep models lies in the exhibition concept of the Fromago fair itself, which will be in an open-air format and along a route of about two kilometers through the central and historic streets of the city of Zamora.
During the Fromago Fair, which will take place from September 15 to 18 in the city of Zamora, the final acts and awards ceremony of the prestigious Cincho Awards, organized by the Junta de Castilla y León, will be held.
Traveling exhibition
The exhibition on display to the public in the city of León is made up of a set of models of 13 Churras sheep, 13 Castilian sheep, 4 Assaf sheep and 3 goats that have been acquired by a total of 31 companies in the cheese industry in Zamora, patrons of the International School of Dairy Industries Foundation.
