THE DEPUTATION OF ZAMORA PRESENTS FROMAGO IN THE COURTS AND REQUESTS THE COLLABORATION OF REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES FOR ITS PROMOTION.
The president of the Provincial Council of Zamora, Francisco José Requejo, advocated during the presentation of the First International Cheese Fair ‘Fromago’ in the Cortes de Castilla y León by ️”collaboration between the provinces that make up the community to integrate as its own a fair that will undoubtedly help boost the sector throughout the region.”
️”It is an interesting initiative, which will also help the projection of Castilla y León and for which we have asked for the collaboration of all the institutional representatives who have accompanied us today in this presentation ceremony,” said the president of the Provincial Council of Zamora, Francisco José Requejo.
The provincial president thanked the president of the Regional Courts, Carlos Pollán, who on his recent visit to Zamora offered the facilities of the regional building to host the presentation of Fromago, and stressed “the importance of maintaining over time the necessary collaboration between institutions, around projects that are good for the whole region”.
The presentation was also attended by Isabel Blanco Llamas, Councilor for Family and Equal Opportunities of the Regional Government of Castilla y León. The president of the Provincial Council acknowledged, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, Juan Pedro Medina, the support of the Ministry to launch a fair that will be ️”a magnificent showcase of the sector, from which to offer a unique experience with cheese from September 15 to 18, which will also host the final of the prestigious Cincho Awards.”
Francisco Requejo recalled in his speech that the province of Zamora has the Protected Designation of Origin ‘Queso Zamorano’, a quality product that is part of the Alimentos de Zamora brand, and stressed the importance of the sheep sector, which represents “an important engine of economic development, capable of fixing population”.
