One of the protagonists of the II edition of Fromago Cheese Experience, our official mascot, already has a name: Fromaja . After consulting our followers in the different social media channels that we have enabled, this has been the chosen one.
The choice of this name among the hundreds of comments we have received is due to the tradition to which Fromaja alludes, making a play on words between Fromago and one of the expressions that are repeated daily in the capital and province of Zamora, majo and maja.
It is difficult not to participate in a conversation between Zamoranos in which this word is not heard, at least once. Hello, majo, how are you, maja? or ¡qué vaya bien, majos!’ are some of the most colloquial phrases for Zamoranos.
A choice that has been hard-fought as our followers have pulled wit and have proposed other names as original as they are: Beelinda, Zamolana, Churrita, Zamago, Fromy, Nube, Queza, Modorra, Urraca, Cuajada, Cuñita or Lanita, among many others.
