The Provincial Council of Palencia, along with three cheese companies of the quality brand Alimentos Palencia, will be present on September 15, 16, 17 and 18, at the International Cheese Fair (Fromago Cheese Experience), which opens this Thursday in the city of Zamora with 330 stands, 275 exhibitors and an intense program of activities that runs until Sunday.
The Provincial Institution will accompany the cheese companies ‘Quesos Campos Góticos’, from Villerías de Campos, ‘Quesos La Vega’, from Moslares de la Vega, and ‘La Oveja que Bala’, located in Carrión de los Condes, all of them installed in the Plaza Arias Gonzalo, with the placement of an institutional counter where visitors can acquire tourist and agri-food information of the province of Palencia.

The Fromago project. Fromago is an innovative, cross-cutting project that aims to position Zamora and Castilla y León as a reference point for cheese and the sheep sector at national and international level.
Fromago Cheese Experience will also be very present in the values of social inclusion, especially towards the most disadvantaged groups, with activities aimed especially at them. Rural women, intergenerational integration, disability and marginalization will be priority issues to be worked on in a cross-cutting manner during the activities developed. Its main objective is to highlight the importance of agriculture and livestock, emphasizing the relevant role of the dairy-cheese sector in general and the sheep sector in particular.
