The president of the Provincial Council of Zamora, Francisco José Requejo, highlighted this morning in Madrid ️”the proximity, proximity and good communications linking our province with the capital of Spain” as a comparative advantage to achieve that hundreds of Madrid can visit the city during the celebration of the First International Cheese Fair ‘Fromago Cheese Experience’.
Francisco Requejo, who inaugurated the exhibition ‘Ovejas Fromago’ in Madrid’s Plaza del Callao, said that “our strategic location, just two and a half hours by road from Madrid and only an hour and a quarter away by high-speed train, will undoubtedly encourage locals and residents of Zamora to visit us during the days of the fair.
During the presentation, the president of the Provincial Council of Zamora highlighted the potential of Zamora as a “historic, safe, welcoming and open to all visitors city”, before the guests who gathered in Callao to contemplate the 33 sheep that are part of the traveling exhibition ‘Ovejas Fromago’.
️”For the Provincial Council of Zamora is a satisfaction to see the success of participants with which this fair already has almost 200 confirmed cheese companies, which will occupy the 350 spaces that make up the event along two kilometers of route through the capital,” said Requejo.
The president of the Provincial Council also had words of thanks for all the Zamoran artists who have made the 33 models, which have acquired 21 companies, Trustees of the International School of Dairy Industries Foundation and that will give “Zamoran color” throughout the weekend to Madrid’s Plaza del Callao.
“With these models we want to pay tribute to our very important sheep sector, which provides the raw material suitable for the production of the highest quality cheese products in the country,” said the provincial president.
