FROMAGO 2026 is promoting its culinary offerings with seven taverns and a focus on Zamora’s hospitality industry
FROMAGO Cheese Experience 2026 has already opened the application period for one of the official taverns that will be part of the tour for the next edition, an event that will once again turn Zamora into a major international stage for cheese from September 17 to 20, 2026. The organizers are planning an even more ambitious event, with an exhibition area of over 40,000 m², nearly 300 exhibitors at more than 400 booths, and once again over 1,200 different cheeses from around the world, as well as activities, tastings, concerts, cooking demonstrations, and workshops for all ages.
Following the success of its previous editions, and especially after 2024—when FROMAGO attracted more than 300,000 unique visitors, achieved 100% hospitality occupancy, more than 170,000 kilos sold, and more than 350 exhibitor booths, the trade show is taking a new step to strengthen its experiential aspect and its appeal.

In this context, FROMAGO 2026 will set up a total of seven taverns or dining areas located at strategic points along the official route: two in Plaza de la Marina, one in Plaza de Sagasta, two in Plaza de Viriato, one at the Claudio Moyano Viewpoint, and one near the Cathedral. These spaces are designed to serve as meeting points, provide services, and energize the event, with the aim of enhancing the visitor experience and helping the city enjoy the fair with even more atmosphere, activity, and culinary offerings.
The decision to announce the event so far in advance is intended to help industry professionals plan ahead and allow interested companies to prepare for their participation well in advance, as part of an edition that aims to continue growing in visibility, attendance, and impact for Zamora. FROMAGO has established itself as the leading dairy and cheese event on the Iberian Peninsula and as a platform that combines professional activities, cultural programming, music, and gastronomy right in the heart of the city.
Furthermore, the call for applications maintains a clear commitment to the region. The organization will prioritize the participation of companies from the province of Zamora, with the goal of strengthening the local economic impact and promoting the direct involvement of Zamora’s hospitality sector in one of the city’s major events. If the number of applications submitted by eligible companies from Zamora exceeds the number of available spaces, the selection will be determined by a random drawing among those companies. Only if the seven spaces are not filled by companies from the province will applications from outside Zamora be considered.
The taverns will be provided with a standard set of equipment by the organization to facilitate their operation and integration into the event’s overall image. In addition, all taverns must maintain a consistent visual style aligned with FROMAGO’s brand identity, thereby reinforcing a carefully curated, recognizable, and cohesive experience for exhibitors, visitors, and partners.
The application period will remain open until Friday, April 10, and interested companies can view all the information and download the complete guidelines through the channels provided by the organization.
